A Brief Tour of My Japanese Neighborhood

My new home

Dear Reader,

Come check out this 360 video to get a sense of the small community I’m now a part of. Unlike Tokyo and the typical craze you might associate with the most densely populated area in the world, my neighborhood near motosumiyoshi station is quiet, peaceful, and has a small town feel. During the last month that I’ve been in Tokyo I’ve come to know quite a few locals in my area, and they’ve all been extremely gracious and friendly towards me as the new gaijin.

In this video I talk about konbinis, my favorite local izakaya, the shinkansen over my house, and a terrible trumpet player! I hope you enjoy.

Your friend,
Tanner
